Why This Picture Scares Me

Yes, yes, it's the answer to that question you've all been asking, "Why does this picture scare Sean?"

I'll tell you why you motherfuckers. Because this picture radiates Reagen-ness, and the if the media somehow gets the idea that grandpa has come back from the great ranch in the sky to lead us into the tax free military defense contract promise land in the form of John McCain and his kind of hot wife Cindy we're all fucked.

The great unspoken question dwelling in the parts of our minds that were formed in fourth grade, before it became cool to question the past, revile the present, and disregard the future is this: can we really let a woman or a black guy lead us?

Of course, if you are a woman or black guy the answer to that question is probably not that much of a dilemna. Yet, for some reason the old white land owning male conventional wisdom prevails to this day. I don't know why.

Anyway, a picture like this fills me with a feeling of dread because I'm just waiting for the Tom Brokaw's and the Tim Russert's and such as the Iraq and South Africa and their latent, paternalistic, we know what's best for the country-hot mouth breathing-chest expanding-face reddening- horse shit instinct to kick in and throw inevitabilty into the Republicans camp simply because Barack Hussein Obama and Giant Hairy Clam Cunt-a-saurus aren't members of the country club.
